Community Services

It takes a community to raise a child. At Catholic Charities we do everything we can to help parents feel supported so that they can worry less and enjoy time with their little ones.

Mr. Gaines Gardening Program PLUS, formerly known as the Mr. Rogers Program, offers summer youth employment to young men and women through planting, cultivating and harvesting vegetable gardens and selling the fresh produce locally. In addition, youth learn to cook using the produce harvested from the gardens and are provided nutrition classes to help develop healthy lifestyles.
